Prenatal Yoga
We begin each class by taking some time for discussion and friendship. Each
woman has the opportunity to discuss what she is feeling and to ask questions. There is a special comraderie
and closeness that comes during this time and most women find the support to be invaluable.
We follow discussion time with meditation to quiet the mind and
bring focus to the body. Then we move into stretching, strength building, and balancing postures that will help
to prepare the body for the process of giving birth. Each class is geared to the needs of the participants that week,
making for a unique class experience every time. We finish the yoga session with massage practice for labor and deep
relaxation. There are often many opportunities during the yoga practice for women to learn about specific techniques they
can use during their labor to increase their comfort during the birth process.
Beginning Yoga
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a Prenatal Yoga Class but is open to men and women
This Hatha Yoga Class is taught at a beginning level. Students will learn the basics of a beginning
level class with special emphasis on alignment and posture. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
